TechMode.io is a marketing website. We do not run an e-commerce store, create user accounts, or maintain a membership platform. This policy explains what limited data may be collected when you visit the site, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it.

2. What Data We Collect

Data we do not collect

We do not operate any contact forms, sign-up flows, or user accounts on this website. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information that you actively submit.

Data collected automatically by the platform

This website is hosted on Squarespace. As with any web hosting platform, Squarespace may automatically collect limited technical data when you visit, including:

  • IP address

  • Browser type and version

  • Device type and operating system

  • Pages visited and time spent

  • Referring URL

This data is collected by Squarespace as part of normal platform operations and server logging. TechMode does not directly access or control this data. For details, see the Squarespace Privacy Policy at squarespace.com/privacy.

Analytics (potential future use)

We may in future connect Google Analytics to this website to better understand how visitors use it. If we do so, this policy will be updated to reflect that, and Google Analytics will be disclosed as a data processor. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymised usage data such as page views, session duration, and device type. It does not collect personally identifiable information unless configured to do so, which we would not do.

If and when Google Analytics is enabled, users located in the UK and EU will be able to opt out via cookie preferences, and we will add an appropriate consent mechanism at that time.

3. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies of our own. Squarespace may set cookies necessary for the platform to function correctly. These are operational cookies, not marketing or behavioural tracking cookies. If you have a browser set to block all cookies, the website may not function as intended.

We do not currently display a cookie consent banner. If we add Google Analytics or other third-party tools that set non-essential cookies, we will add a consent mechanism at that point.

4. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content

This website includes links to our social media profiles (LinkedIn, X, YouTube) and other external platforms. Clicking these links will take you away from TechMode.io. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites and recommend reviewing their policies directly.

Videos on this website are hosted natively through Squarespace and are not embedded from third-party platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. No third-party tracking is introduced through video playback.

5. How We Use Data

Any data collected automatically through the Squarespace platform is used solely for:

  • Ensuring the website functions correctly

  • Diagnosing technical issues

  • Understanding general site traffic patterns (in aggregate, not at an individual level)

We do not use any data collected through this website for direct marketing, profiling, or targeted advertising.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (UK and EU Users)

Where data processing occurs, we rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR and EU GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests: to ensure the website operates correctly and to understand general traffic volumes

  • Legal obligation: where we are required to retain data to comply with applicable law

7. Data Retention

We do not store personal data collected by Squarespace's platform infrastructure. Server logs maintained by Squarespace are subject to their own retention policies. If we add analytics tools in future, we will apply appropriate data minimisation and retention settings.
